 Community Model
It takes an entire village to raise a child. Fatiha Education Society's undertaking is our collective responsibility and every faction of the community needs to perform its own function to make this project a success. Following are a few examples of types of sponsors and their roles.
Spritual Sponsors
This layer of sponsorship is reserved for our esteemed religious scholars. We are actively in touch with different scholars in Canada. The scholars play a very crucial role in the functioning of this organization. All the activities of this organization will be conducted under the guidance of a panel of scholars. The activities range from reviewing the constitution to conducting spiritual sessions for our staff, parents and members. This includes providing guidance on curriculum and religious material.
Educational sponsors (educationalists)
This layer constitutes of a panel of educationalists. These are the people who will design the learning resources for delivery of content prepared by the scholars. Educationalists will be responsible for designing learning resourcesfor different levels of students. This also involves formulating proper professional development workshops for teachers. The curriculum, professional development material will be developed under the guidance of this layer of sponsors.
Supporting Members
This layer of sponsorship will provide the bulk of financing for our day-to-day operations within the organization. The purpose of this level is to distribute the cost of financing to a vast number of community members. Traditionally, organizations have relied on a few members to provide the financial support for the organization. We are hoping that the community will support us with smaller contributions from all members. These members will provide a small amount - $20 per month - which will be used for supporting the projects that we embark on.
Business sponsors
One key area of financial support is through the sponsorship of businesses. . InshaAllah, we would like to tap into the business community to provide financial support for Fatiha. We are in the process of arranging a number of sponsorship schemes that will be presented to the business community.
Material sponsors
In the long term, the organization should be self-sustaining. In order to move towards this goal, we are hoping to set up small businesses which will become the financial source for our organization. The Material Sponsors are community members who are ready to support the organization with considerable amount of capital. These sponsors will provide the necessary financing to start a variety of small businesses. The income from the small businesses will be used to cover the expenses of the organization.
