 FacilitiesThe school is expected to have the following facilities available at the campus. We may not be able to achieve all of these during the initial launch but this list reflects the needed infrastructure.
Classrooms
Adequate size of classrooms for 20 to 25 students. Each student must have enough space to sit and work comfortably. For early grades, there must be enough space in the class for joint activities. There should be enough space to setup a mini-library of books for each grade.
Computer Lab
A computer lab equipped with at least 20 desktop computers must be available. The computers must of of a configuration which is able to run educational software for children. The computers need to be networked with each other. Ideally, there should also be one big screen monitor where the teacher can demonstrate any practical exercises that children are performing on their computer.
Gymnasium
Adequate size of gymnasium is vital for extra curricular activities for children. This space will be used for indoor games such as basketball etc. It will also be used for conducting martial arts classes. It can be used as a make-shift auditorium for presentations.
Prayer Area
A masjid to accommodate at least 200 students and 50 adults will be needed for the prayers. This should ideally be attached to the gymnasium in such a way that gymnasium can be used as an extended prayer hall if needed. Separate ablution facilities will be needed for boys and girls.
Outdoor playground
There needs to an outdoor playground for children to have fun and play. The playgrounds needs to be equipped with swings and slides for smaller children. It should be big enough for around 100 children to play freely at one time.
